With a lifetime of experience in the restaurant industry and a personal passion for great food, Mike Luther and his wife Rae have brought their vision of a revolutionary restaurant experience to life in Frisco with UP Inspired Kitchen.

Finding Inspiration and Living It UP

Co-owner Mike's journey into the world of fantastic food began long before Up Inspired Kitchen opened it's doors to the public. Since he was just 15 years old, Mike has been working in restaurants, managing hospitality and guest experience. From casual spots to fine dining destinations, Mike's dedication to creating successful work environments has shone through his work.

After years of working long hours and spending time away from his family, Mike and Rae decided it was time for a change. With four young boys in the house, the couple wanted to find a balance between work and family time in an industry they both enjoyed. They decided that a breakfast-lunch spot was the answer thanks to the flexible and realistic hours of operation that would allow both parents to spend quality time with their sons.

The next push for Mike and Rae came from their local gym. The husband and wife co-owners shared their passions for nutritious, responsibly sourced food choices that steered consumers away from GMOs and high fructose corn syrup in favor of cage-free eggs and locally grown produce.

It further inspired Mike and Rae to explore the importance of fueling their bodies for a full day of refreshing, natural energy. They learned the metabolic importance of feeding the human body, they also discovered the importance of feeding people's souls. On April 26, 2017, UP Inspired Kitchen was born.

We wanted to create everyone’s happy place from the décor to the music to the staff that greets you with an ‘UP lifting' smile ready to take care of all your needs. We wanted to inspire our guests to be their best selves, live UP to their greatest potential, and to recognize the power of gratitude.

This unique play on the BLT features a piece of toasted sourdough stacked high with fresh tomato, avocado, arugula and fried egg that's dressed in a honey vinaigrette, and topped with UP's house-made Bacon Pistou of sunflower seeds, olive oil, herbs and of course, bacon!

You can also experience two new salads to the GREENS menu. Try the Taboo Salmon Caesar salad or the Chicken Salad made with roasted and pulled chicken, walnuts, cranberries and Greek Yogurt placed atop a bed of mixed greens and red delicious apples.
