Stepping into Bottled in Bond is almost like stepping into a history book, or at least a vintage-style bar in downtown New York or Chicago. A long-time bartender and cocktail connoisseur, owner Jasin Burt set out to create an intimate lounge with the perfect balance of old favorites and modern menu twists.

Bringing Classic Flavors to the Heart of Frisco

Jasin spent most of his childhood in St. Kitts until moving to Florida at age 12. After a few years in New Jersey and New York City, he ended up in the Dallas area just after high school, and he’s stayed close by ever since.

Jasin’s been in the service industry for nearly two decades, with years of bartending experience under his belt and work as a Craft Specialist, consulting on cocktail menus and training bar staff all over DFW. While Jasin loved sharing his intimate knowledge of bartending and fine spirits with restauranteurs and fellow barkeeps, he had always dreamed of opening his own bar and restaurant.

When Jasin and his wife bought their first home in Frisco, he decided to take the plunge. He began conceptualizing his new business venture with help from some industry experts and an unexpected spark of inspiration, thanks to his favorite libation:

We were in a Monday morning meeting, and we happened to have the bourbon specialist from Heaven Hill Distillery come in that day. He and I were chatting about bottled in bond whiskeys and that’s when it clicked for me. That’s the name — it has a history behind it. It resonates with exactly what I wanted to do. It’s something totally unique with a focus on whiskey, which is such a huge part of American history.

— Jasin Burt, Owner, Bottled in Bond

With the bar’s new moniker in place, Jasin and his team set out to turn his vision of a prohibition-style cocktail parlor into a reality, starting with the main focal point: the bar. Bottle in Bond’s bar stretches nearly the entire length of the restaurant, with an impressive back bar full of whiskey and an endless selection of other fine spirits and liqueurs.

Stemming from Jasin’s bartending past and passion for the perfect cocktail, the BIB bar is the perfect space for lengthy chats, new introductions, or an unofficial mixology demonstration by a talented bartender preparing your new favorite drink.

Putting a New Spin on Old Favorites

As the name suggests, cocktails and spirits are a big part of what makes Bottled in Bond so unique. Jasin’s ownership of BIB gives him the freedom to switch up his food and drink menus to incorporate seasonal flavors, local favorites, or exciting new cocktail concepts, but his team of talented bar staff always leaves room for the classics.

From a vintage-style Manhattan to top-shelf bourbon on the rocks, you’ll always find the freshest ingredients and highest quality mixers behind the bar. Not only has each bartender mastered the flavor profile of each cocktail on the menu, they also craft housemade syrups, garnishes, and infused liquors to ensure the perfect pour every time you stop in for a drink.

No matter which ingredients, spirits, or flavor profiles make their way to the menu, Jasin and his staff serve them all with a steady pour and high standards for excellence:

The staff behind the bar here is fantastic. We found bartenders that really stick with us and stand behind the concept of Bottled in Bond. They’ve been with us through it all and they’re always coming up with new cocktail concepts that keep our menu inventive and exciting.

Along with picture-perfect cocktails and unique seasonal beverages, Bottled in Bond’s food menu creates the perfect middle ground between east-coast speakeasy and indulgent southern dining. The only thing better than sipping on your favorite happy hour cocktail after a long day? Pairing it with a plate of chicken and biscuit sliders or bacon-topped deviled eggs.

The southern comfort classics don’t end there. Stop in for dinner or take your favorite entree to-go. With selections like the brand new peppercorn-crusted Porkchop or a 1/2-pound bison burger with bourbon and bacon jam, you’re sure to find a new favorite menu item on your next visit. You can even pair your whiskey flight with applewood-smoked bacon (seriously?!) or indulge your sweet tooth with bourbon pecan pie and vanilla ice cream.
