This week, Nack Development announced its plans to expand upon the renaissance of The Rail District with another redevelopment project on the north side of Main Street in Downtown Frisco.
The boutique-style real estate developer will bring a 3,800 square foot restaurant space to the site of the Innovative Images building, continuing to make progress toward the highly-anticipated revitalization of Frisco's historic downtown area.
Longtime owners of Innovative Images, Kurt and Tana Nelson recently agreed to sell their 6916 West Main Street property to Nack Development. Donny Churchman, President and Owner of Nack Development, said,
We're so appreciative of the impact the Nelsons made on Frisco, capturing family memories and moments through their beautiful photography for many of us here in Frisco. And although the property has new plans, we're hoping that this spot remains a destination for families to continue making memories, just in a different way.
Rooftop Terrace Dining
The restaurant space planned for the corner of Main and 4th Street, is designed to be in harmony with the other developments in The Rail District, as approved in the Downtown Master Plan.
With a rooftop terrace for dining alfresco, the new building will overlook the future 4th street pedestrian plaza that is planned just south of Main Street for Historic Downtown Frisco.
The architecture will capture the character of The Rail District with an all brick façade and industrial awnings and accents designed to encourage a visually interesting and cohesive streetscape. Churchman shared,
We're working with a certain local, award-winning restaurateur who will bring a fantastic line-up of food and drink that really celebrate Frisco’s culture. It will bring new excitement, and its design will draw on the same Rail District energy.
The momentum of The Rail District is growing causing a ripple effect in plans for growth and redevelopment. Together with former MLB All-Star Torii Hunter and his wife Katrina, as well as current Major League Baseball free agent, Matt Kemp, the trio are investing in the heart and soul of the city, right alongside Nack Development.
The Tower at the Rail, Nack Development’s first project in downtown Frisco, broke ground last summer with 8 luxury brownstones and adjacent retail space.
The Patios at the Rail will soon become the company’s second mixed-use development and home to a new creative mix of restaurants, retail, office space, rooftop patios, and even an event center, for complete engagement from sunup to sundown.
The Calaboose will offer even more upscale residential to Historic Downtown Frisco with 20 luxury, elevator townhomes, and more office space.
A new home for the Frisco troupe of the North Texas Performing Arts, called The Nack Theater, will provide a new entertainment destination for the city.
This week, Nack also announced another noteworthy project. They'll bring 15,000 square feet of commercial and office space to Downtown Lewisville, TX, further solidifying their specialization in niche downtown redevelopment projects.
