The kids are back in school, pumpkin spice is back on the menu, and the Dallas Cowboys are back on Sundays – it’s fall in Frisco! To help you kick off the season, we’ve once again rounded up the best fall-themed activities that Frisco has to offer.
Whether you’re looking for pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating events, fashion, or fun runs, there’s something for everyone this year. So grab your “PSL” and your coziest sweater, and start planning your fall season!
Fall Festivals and Pumpkin Patches
September 15 – November 21, Preston Trail Farms
North Texas visitors, school groups, and church groups have been coming to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm by the thousands for over twenty years to enjoy fun at the Farm! In 2015, the Kimbrell family moved the Pumpkin Farm from their family farm in Celina, TX to their new General Store and farm in Gunter, TX.
The North Texas tradition offers visitors fall fun and a taste of country life. Kids will be delighted by rows of pumpkins growing right on the vine, hay bales to climb on, and a petting farm with more than 50 lively animals. Other attractions include a hayride, farm train, and a 6 ft high hay maze.
Pumpkin Patch opens September 29
First United Methodist Church hosts a large pumpkin patch each year during October. Stop by for photos and choose your pumpkins. We advise you come early for the best selection of pumpkins! On October 28th, the church will host a Trunk-or-Treat, a great option for safe and fun trick-or-treating!
Grace Avenue United Methodist Church
September 29 – October 31
Grace Avenue United Methodist Church Pumpkins on the Prairie
An annual tradition for many Frisco families, this event offers pumpkins for purchase in every shape and size – and the perfect backdrop for fall photo ops. Free daily activities include bounce houses, yard games, a hayride and hay maze. Weekends also feature face painting, pumpkin launching, and other special events. (Bonus! Kids birthday parties available).
First Baptist Church Fall Festival
October 21, 4:00 – 8:00pm
This downtown Frisco festival will include a variety of inflatables and games. In previous years the festival has featured high-energy activities for older kids seeking thrills and an indoor area for preschoolers, with age-appropriate games and prizes. A food truck adds to the night of family fun!
October 28, 4:00 – 8:00pm
Head to Elevate Life Church for the annual Family Fun Fest, a fun and safe Halloween alternative for kids of all ages. In years past, the event has featured carnival rides, inflatables, a petting zoo, cakewalks, games, face painting, hayrides, and more. Enjoy unlimited rides and inflatables by purchasing a wristband, or you can pay per ticket to use towards the activities. There are also plenty of free games and candy to enjoy! Food trucks will be on site for an additional cost and costumes are welcome.
St. Philips Episcopal Preschool Fall Festival
October 20, 12:00 – 3:00 pm
This popular family event, now in its 12th year, includes a large silent auction, carnival games, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and live music. You don’t want to miss the dunk tank! This event is the largest fundraising event for St. Philips Episcopal School, so come out and support the collaborative efforts of the students, teachers and community members.
Shades of Green Garden Center Fall Festival
October 6, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Enjoy a day of family fun at the Shades of Green Garden Center’s annual Fall Festival and Farmers Market. This (free!) event includes games, prizes, candy, petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin decorating, hayrides, local vendors and more.
Fall Festival at Dr Pepper Ballpark
October 28, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
This free event is a home run for Frisco families! Fall activities include kids costume contest, face painting, and pumpkin painting. Kids can also enjoy bounce houses, the Dr. Pepper Ballpark playground, and the opportunity to play catch on the Rough Riders’ field! (Plus $1 food and beverages, including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, Dr. Pepper products, and beer.)

Growing IQ’s Annual Spooky Math Halloween Event
October 20, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Looking for a safe, fun, and even educational Halloween activity? Growing IQ is hosting its annual free Spooky Math event for the community. Bring the whole family to enjoy hands-on activities and to win treasures. They’ll have games and activities appropriate for all ages. Wear a costume to enter into a drawing for 3 lucky winners to get a surprise gift.
Trunk or Treat at the Frisco Rail Yard
October 20, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
It’s fall and the Frisco Rail Yard wants to celebrate with a family fun TRUNK or TREAT! Enjoy food trucks, games, trick or treating, live music, local vendors, costume contest, and more! This event will benefit Frisco Fastpacs.
Trick or Treat at Fire Safety Town
October 26, 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Come in costume for this Frisco favorite. Children 5th grade and under can enjoy exploring the fire truck, seeing the safety house, and of course trick or treating in the little village. This popular event draws big crowds so be prepared for off-site parking and a wait in line. Come early and enjoy checking out all the costumes – this Frisco tradition is worth the wait!
Trunk-or-Treat October 28, 3:30pm – 6:00pm
In addition their pumpkin patch during the month of October, the church will host a Trunk-or-Treat event – a great option for safe and fun trick-or-treating!
October 27, 4:00 – 9:00pm, Toyota Stadium
This spooktacular charity event, benefiting City House in memory of Kelly Whaley, has something for everyone, with a carnival for kids in the afternoon followed by a haunted fashion show and live music performance in the evening.
This year, themed “through the decades,” brings fun new additions including a virtual haunted house maze, magic shows, art installations, haute new fashions, and interactive photo opportunities.
October 27, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Preston Ridge campus in Frisco in front of Founders Hall
Collin College Frisco Campus is hosting a Trunk or Treat for the Frisco community. Faculty and staff will be decorating their cars and handing out candy and treats. There will also be one car collecting items for Blue Star Mothers who then mail those items to troops overseas. Live band and lots of fun and treats for the kiddos.

Fall Farmhouse Pumpkin Floral Arrangement
September 17, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Brookielynn’s Bungalow NEW LOCATION: 6881 Pecan St. Frisco.
Think painting with a twist but with floral design. This workshop is a twist on the traditional fall pumpkin arrangement. In this workshop, you’ll create beautiful fall farmhouse style arrangements using white pumpkins as our container and flowers in soft shades of green, pink, and white.

Brookielynn’s Bungalow NEW LOCATION: 6881 Pecan St. Frisco.
During this two hour workshop, you’ll craft a totally custom ‘Build a Bunting” kit designed by Brookielynn’s Bungalow in collaboration with the amazing Sam Martin of Walnut Street Studio. Register in advance.
Sweets on a Stick Fall Cake Pop Class
September 22, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Cozy up with with a pumpkin spice latte in cake pop form! Learn to create 12 fall-themed cake pops. $40, must register in advance. All supplies provided. Suggested age for participants is 16+. (BYOB, must be 21+)
Community Events
September 29, 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Come see what life was like for the cowboys along the Shawnee Trail. The free, day-long event offers something for everyone, including food trucks, live entertainment, beer and wine garden, costume photos, kids crafts and games, armadillo races, and more!
October 6, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm, Hall Park
An arts-themed 5K along the beautiful grounds of Hall Park, participants of the Frisco Arts Walk and Run will be surrounded and inspired by the art of the Hall Collection. The run route will include pop-up music, artists, and dancers, and the winners in each category will receive a unique 10 x 10 original work of art by local artists.
October 27, 8:00 am, Toyota Stadium
Named for former Frisco Assistant Fire Chief Gary Burns, who died of colon cancer in 1999, this event is a community favorite. Proceeds from the event go towards grants for innovative teachers and scholarship opportunities for Frisco ISD students. Frisco Veteran’s Day Community Parade
November 10, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Toyota Stadium
Looking for a fun way to celebrate our community and honor our veterans? Bring your patriotism and civic pride to this spirited annual event! Parade attractions include Frisco fire and police vehicles, the Frisco fire clowns, team mascots, representatives from Frisco’s professional sports teams and floats and marchers from various civic and youth groups.
Thanksgiving Day – November 22, 8 am – 10:30 am, Frisco Square
Run first! Eat later. Earn your Thanksgiving feast while supporting a great cause at the annual North Texas Turkey Trot! The popular and rapidly-growing event offers a 10K trot, 5K trot, and a Miracle Mile for kids. The event benefits the Miracle League of Frisco, a sports organization for special needs children.
