Monday, March 4

Kids and Family

Momma MeetUP: 7:00 am at UP Inspired Kitchen. Jump start your week with Momma Meet UPs at UP! They'll have special surprises each week along with $3 Kid Cakes, $5 UP Cakes, $2 mimosas, $3 Kombucha, and 1/2 off specialty coffee.

Dual Credit Information Night: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Frisco High School, for students grades 8-11 and their parents. Frisco ISD and Collin College will host a series of events this spring for students and parents to learn more about dual credit opportunities in the District. Families may attend the event at their home high school or any other scheduled across the District.

Community

Frisco ISD School Board Meeting: 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm at Frisco ISD Administration Bldg. A regular meeting of the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees. The Board will immediately go into closed session and resume open meeting at 7:30 pm for regular business.


Tuesday, March 5

Arts

Ladies Who Launch: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Where Arts and Business collide! Whether you're an artist, business owner, entrepreneur, or “wantrepreneur”, you're welcome to attend. Each luncheon lasts just 90 minutes and features 2 special speakers in a panel discussion, moderated by Frisco Arts Executive Director Tammy Meinershagen. Registration required in advance; event may be sold out.

City Council Meeting: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at City Council Chambers, City Hall. Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval. You can watch City Council meetings live, as well as view videos from past meetings.

Kids and Family

Frisco Arts Littles: Every Wednesday, 10:30 am – 11:00 am at the Music Institute of North Texas. Do you want to introduce your 2-6 year old to the exciting world of music and art? Come join this fun musical experience with early childhood music specialist, Ms. Kelly Russell. Registration required.

Restaurants

Sommelier for a Day at Silver Fox Steakhouse: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Have you ever wanted the chance to be a sommelier at a fine dining restaurant? On the first Wednesday of each month, guests can help select featured wines for the coming month. For $25 per person, guests will sample six wines selected by the restaurant’s Wine Director paired with hand-passed hors d’oeuvres.

Networking

FYP – Behind Closed Doors: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, the Frisco Young Professionals will take a tour of the new National Soccer Hall of Fame. Registration required. Please join FYP for the tour followed by a mixer at the British Lion with “appetizers on us”.

HeartStories “You're in Luck GNO”: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at Serendipity Labs. Gather your girlfriends for a well-deserved night of food, wine, laughter, and a long deep breath away from all the stresses of your day. Author's Corner: 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Half Price Books. Calling all bibliophiles! The Frisco Arts Author’s Corner is a book club event that features local authors, sharing the love of literary arts with the Frisco community. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Rock Stars – The Rise to Greatness: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Frisco Fine Art. A spotlight on the work of extraordinary up-and-coming local artists Jessica Medina, Courtney Peace, Deborah Hartigan-Viestenz, and Marthalee. The celebration will include live music, light bites, and elegant wines from Wine Ambassador.

Education

Teen Writer's Group: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Frisco Public Library, 1st floor, Teen room. Meet other writers to discuss story ideas, get writing tips, and share your original work.
