Monday, October 7

Community

Frisco ISD School Board Meeting: A regular meeting of the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees, beginning at 6:30 pm at the Frisco ISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Drive. The Board will immediately go into closed session and resume open meeting at 7:30 pm for regular business.

Kids and Family

Social Readers’ League: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Frisco Public Library. An exciting hour for tweens in Functional Academics (FA) and Resource to make connections, build friendships, improve reading skills, and have fun.

Sports

The Cowboys Hour: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Neighborhood Services, Omni Frisco. FREE and open to the public. Cowboys players join hosts Brad Sham, Kevin Turner, and Taylor Stern on Monday nights throughout the season.


Tuesday, October 8

Health and Fitness

Glow Yoga on The Pitch: 7:00 pm at Toyota Stadium. Wear your neon, bring a yoga mat and meet FC Dallas on the pitch! AdvoCare products and glow bands will be provided. $10 participation donation benefits the FC Dallas Foundation.

Kids and Family

Undead and UnRead Book Club: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Frisco Public Library, 3rd floor, Library conference room. Discussions about science fiction and fantasy books. (Join the discussion on GoodReads).


Wednesday, October 9

Inspire Frisco – IF Talk: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Inspire Park. Featuring Don Tapscott, recognized as a global leader in the intersection of technology with commerce. Learn how he sees blockchain, AI and other technologies impacting our jobs, economy, and society.

Sports

Red River Celebrity Softball Game: 7:00 pm at Dr Pepper Ballpark. This annual event features Texas and Oklahoma legends playing slow-pitch softball for charity. The Toby Keith Foundation, the Just Keep Livin’ Foundation, and Roger Clemens Foundation will split net proceeds equally.


Thursday, October 10

Shopping and Services

Sip, Shop, and Stroll: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm in Frisco’s Rail District. An evening of fun, wine, shopping and prizes, benefitting Frisco Family Services. Come out and support local small boutiques and restaurants such as Countdown 2 Escape, Bittersweet Ivy, Crafted, and Summer Moon, and more.

12th Annual Camp Craig Allen BBQ Cook-Off and Music Fest: October 11 – 12, Toyota Stadium. The Friday night kick-off party and concert will include casino tables, live bands, cash bars, a live auction, and dinner buffet. Saturday will be family-focused with TONS of events for everyone. Tickets give you unlimited sampling of all entries.

Wine Down with Dwell: 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm at Dwell Yoga Studio. Join us for a fun night out in the studio. We’ll be making Blessing Beads and sampling clean wines with Scout & Cellar, nibbling on charcuterie, and enjoying each other’s company off our mats.
