Community

Frisco ISD School Board Meeting: A regular meeting of the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees, beginning at 6:30 pm at the Frisco ISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Drive. The Board will immediately go into closed session and resume the open meeting at 7:30 pm for regular business.

Health and Fitness

Mindful Moments by Lincoln: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Lincoln Experience Center. Take a breather and enjoy a moment of wellness, self-care, and meditation! Together with life-coach and yoga instructor, Nicole Anderson, we’ll enjoy “fifteen minutes for me.” Complimentary Acai bowls and café beverages.

Zaytinya’s Greek Wine Dinner: 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at Zaytinya at The Star in Frisco. Head Chef Jon Thompson has created a unique five-course menu, each dish perfectly paired with a specially-selected Greek wine. Frisco ISD College Fair: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Memorial High School. Frisco ISD will welcome dozens of colleges and universities from across the country to meet with students and parents about admissions. Open to all Frisco ISD Juniors and Seniors.

Inspire Frisco: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at UNT Inspire Park. At this month’s IFTalk, Danyel Surrency Jr. will discuss how she developed a new product concept with a sports vertical, funded her venture, capitalized on a niche market, and how she was able to use Frisco’s sports community, Sports City USA, to her advantage.

Irish Tenor Emmet Cahill in Concert: 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church. Join Ireland’s most exciting young tenor Emmet Cahill as he continues on his biggest solo tour to date and debuts his new album “Blessings of Music.”

National Videogames Day: There is no place in North Texas better to celebrate National Videogames Day than the National Videogame Museum in Frisco, the only museum in the United States dedicated to the history of videogames.

Coffee with the Mayor: 8:00 am – 9:00 am at City Hall, 5th Floor, City Room, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. Sit with the Mayor and have a conversation about his vision for the monthly “Coffee with the Mayor” event series.

Friday Night Markets: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Frisco Fresh Market. Come EAT and SHOP from some of the FFM vendors and wind down from your busy week. On September 13, don’t miss the Friday Night Zoo! The kids will love learning about cute animals at the Grisham Farms’ Educational Zoo.

Frisco Rotary Farmer’s Market: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at 8821 4th Street. Every Saturday from April 20 – October 26 shop farm-fresh produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, preserves, fresh flowers, soap, handcrafted items and more.

Cars and Cigars: 9:30 am and 7:30 pm. Free event for all ages to join in the parking lot of Industrial Cigar Co. and admire each other’s cars, while sharing a cigar and a cup of coffee. There will be exotics, classics, modern muscle cars, and Indian Motorcycle will be out to join the party.
