Frisco ISD Coffee Talk: 8:00 am – 9:00 am at Independence High School. Frisco ISD parents are invited to share coffee and conversation with the Superintendent of Schools and a member of the School Board. Any parent is welcome to attend to ask questions or share feedback with District leaders.
Promoting School Safety Through Connection and Mental Wellness: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the Frisco ISD Administration Board Room, 5515 Ohio Drive. Dr. Stephanie Cook will provide information about the importance of developing protective factors along with evidence-based strategies to keep students and schools safe.

National Chemistry Week: WEEK LONG event, Oct 23-27, 10 am – 1 pm. Frisco’s Sci-Tech Discovery Center is celebrating National Chemistry Week in a big way! Watch exciting stage shows and get hands-on to explore chemistry in space exploration. Activities are free with admission. This year’s theme is Chemistry is out of this world, with a focus on chemistry of and in outer space.

The Spirit Walk: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, an adults-only night of tricks, treats, and terrors at The Star in Frisco. The haunted route is as specially crafted as the bites and sips you’ll sample at stops like Tri Tip Grill, Concrete Cowboy, Da Mario and more. You’ll also get a goody bag to fill to the brim with sweet “treats” of sugar and sweeter “tricks” of special offers at select participating restaurants.

Trick or Treat at Safety Town: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Frisco Fire Safety Town. Come in costume for this Frisco favorite. Children 5th grade and under can enjoy exploring the fire truck, seeing the safety house, and of course trick or treating in the little village. This popular event draws big crowds so be prepared for off-site parking and a wait in line. Come early and enjoy checking out all the costumes – this Frisco tradition is worth the wait!

Early Voting: Voters in both Collin and Denton counties may vote at any polling location in the county in which they reside. Collin County residents must vote at a location in Collin County and Denton County residents must vote at a location in Denton County. Polls are open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
FEF Annual Gary Burns 5K and Fun Run: 8:00 am at Toyota Stadium. Named for former Frisco Assistant Fire Chief Gary Burns who died of colon cancer in 1999, proceeds from the event go towards grants for innovative teachers and scholarship opportunities for Frisco ISD students.
The Star Car Show: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at The Star in Frisco. See some of the most popular antique and classic muscle cars throughout the decades. Various cars will be on site throughout The Star District, along with a “Trunk or Treat” for the kids! Costumes are encouraged.

Frisco Rotary Farmer’s Market: 8:00 am – Noon every Saturday from April 21, 2018 through October 27, 2018 for farm fresh produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, preserves, handcrafted items and more.

Friscovania: 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Toyota Stadium. This spooktacular charity event, benefiting City House in memory of Kelly Whaley, has something for everyone, with a carnival for kids in the afternoon followed by a haunted fashion show and live music performance in the evening. Also enjoy a virtual haunted house maze, magic shows, art installations, haute new fashions, and interactive photo opportunities.
Collin College Trunk or Treat: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Preston Ridge Campus in Frisco, in front of Founder’s Hall. Collin College Frisco Campus faculty and staff will be decorating their cars and handing out candy and treats. There will also be one car collecting items for Blue Star Mothers who then mail those items to troops overseas. Live band and lots of fun and treats for the kiddos.
Entertainment
3rd Annual Whistlestop Jamboree: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm at the Frisco Rail Yard. A free, all-day, family-friendly music festival showcasing prominent local bands on one stage and featuring an experimental collaboration of musicians on another stage. There will be food trucks and a bar on site, as well as kid games.

Elevate Life Fall Festival: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Fall Festival at Dr Pepper Ballpark: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. This free event is a home run for Frisco families! Kids costume contest, face painting, and pumpkin painting. Kids can also enjoy bounce houses, the Dr. Pepper Ballpark playground, and the opportunity to play catch on the RoughRiders’ field!
First United Methodist Church Trunk-or-Treat: 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. In addition their pumpkin patch during the month of October, the church will host a Trunk-or-Treat event – a great option for safe and fun trick-or-treating!
Spooky Body Science Halloween Party: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Sci-Tech Discovery Center. This event will feature hands-on experiments and demonstrations all focused on the ins and outs of the human body. Come dressed up in costume and be ready for spooky, gross fun! Free with admission.

26th Annual Teddy Bear Ride: 8:30 am. Start: IKEA Dallas; End: Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Plano. Grab a teddy bear and join hundreds of North Texas motorcycle riders for a charity ride in Collin County benefiting abused and neglected children through the work of Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County.
Game Pink Live – 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Dr Pepper Arena, hosted by NBCF. This one-of-a-kind Minecraft live experience featuring four of the world’s top Minecraft streamers PrestonPlayz, UnspeakableGaming, MooseCraft, and LogDotZip as they play head-to-head in person from 4-6pm. There will also be a costume contest for the whole family.
